We are favored with a great group of Godly people who are called to lead God's cherished ones. These women and men sacrifice their time and talent in this endeavor. Let me introduce you to them, I am sure once you get to meet them you will love them as we do.
My name is Curtis Bernard Flemming I serve as senior pastor here at Living Hope. And oversee the Borough of Brooklyn, NY. For the Free Methodist church North America. I am married to Nancy McAfee Flemming MD. and we are the proud parents of seven children ranging in ages from twenty-nine to four months! My journey to this vocation, has taken me around the Globe and through many experiences. I came to realize that ministry was my call while living the American dream and planning on living it larger! However, The Lord called me from my cushy corporate milieu, and drastically shifted my paradigm. I yielded submissively (like Jonah) and went to Nyack’s Alliance Theological Seminary where I earned a Master of Divinity degree. I am presently pursuing my terminal degree (I pray) a Doctorate degree in Ministry with a focus on spiritual formation. My goal is to create a community of Jesus followers who are trying to imitate him in word and deed. A community that is actively engaging our World with his love, whether it’s returned or not. I might be naïve but I believe we are called to bless people regardless if they look like us or believe like us because we are all the Father’s children. 1 John 4:20-21 says it best: If anyone boasts, "I love God," and goes right on hating his brother or sister, thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won't love the person he can see, how can he love the God he can't see? The command we have from Christ is blunt: Loving God includes loving people. You've got to love both. This is in my humble opinion, is the litmus test of our faith, this is what's going to determine our eternity, are we striving to love both!
