Living Hope is a multicultural, multi-generational, mission-shaped faith community that loves God fervently, one another intimately, and our neighbors--near and far--compassionately.

To be multicultural means that we value and embrace people from all races, cultures, genders, and socio-economic backgrounds. We realize that our strength and missional vitality comes from the unity we display through our diversity.
To be multi-generational means that we are comprised of people from multiple generations. We believe that those who have gone before us have a wealth of knowledge to pass on to current younger generations, and that mentoring relationships are key to our indivudal and corporate wisdom and spiritual growth.
To be mission-shaped means that all we do as a church is organized around how we particpate with God in his redemptive mission in our community and world. As a sign of God’s kingdom and his agent of reconciliation in the world, it is our responsibility as a local church to discern and particpate in God’s redemptive initiatives in our community and in our world so that we may introduce all to the grace of the living God.
To love God fervently means that we love the God in all of his persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—with all of our hearts, with all of our souls, with all of our minds, and with all of our strength. Accordingly, we demonstrate a commitment to spiritual practices such as Bible reading and meditation, prayer and fasting, sacrificial giving, silence and solitude to form us spiritually as indivudals and as a people.
To love one another intimately means that we demonstrate a radical commitment to one another through our actions and our words as a reconciled community of faith. We invest in our relationships with one another by serving one another, encouraging one another in our faith journeys and through our struggles, extending forgiveness to one another when we are wronged, and supporting one another spiritually, emotionally, and financially when necessary.
To love our neighbors near and far compassionately means that we are committed to demonstrating and extending God’s love, justice, and mercy in practical ways to all who need it, both in our local community and in particular communities across the globe. This involves proclamation of the Gospel to meet spiritual needs, as well as ongoing social action to meet the physical, material, and socio-emotional needs of those who are under-served, oppressed, or marginalized.
